Maharashtra Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act, 2008
An Act further to amend the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002. WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002, for the purposes hereinafter appearing; it is hereby enacted in the Fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology Act, 2007
An Act to declare the institution known as the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology to be an institution of national importance and to provide for its incorporation and for matters connected therewith. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Maharashtra Tax Laws (Levy, Amendment and Validation) Act, 2007
An Act further to amend certain tax laws in operation in the State of Maharashtra.

WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend certain tax laws in operation in the State of Maharashtra, for the purposes hereinafter appearing;

It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-


Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2006
An Act to provide for the reservation in admission of the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes of citizens, to certain Central Educational Institutions established, maintained or aided by the Central Government, and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006
An Act to consolidate the laws relating to food and to establish the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India for laying down science based standards for articles of food and to regulate their manufacture, storage, distribution, sale and import, to ensure availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Maharashtra Tax Laws (Levy, Amendment and Validation) Act, 2006
An Act further to amend certain tax laws in operation in the State of Maharashtra. WHEREAS both Houses of the State Legislature were not in session; AND WHEREAS the Governor of Maharashtra was satisfied that circumstances existed which rendered it necessary for him to take immediate action further to amend certain tax laws in operation in the State of Maharashtra, for the purposes hereinafter appearing; and, therefore, promulgated the Maharashtra Tax Laws (Levy, Amendment and validation) Ordinance, 2006 on the 20th June 2006; AND WHEREAS it is expedient to replace the said Ordinance by an Act of the State Legislature; it is hereby enacted in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Maharashtra Tax Laws (Levy, Amendment and Validation) Ordinance, 2006
An Ordinance further to amend certain tax laws in operation in the State of Maharashtra. WHEREAS both Houses of the State Legislature are not in session; AND WHEREAS the Governor of Maharashtra is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action further to amend certain tax laws in operation in the State of Maharashtra, for the purposes hereinafter appearing; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Maharashtra is hereby pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance, namely:-
Bombay Stamp (Amendment) Act, 2006
An Act further to amend the Bombay Stamp Act, 1958. WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Bombay Stamp Act, 1958, for the purposes hereinafter appearing; it is hereby enacted in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Regularisation of Unauthorised Developments in the City of Ulhasnagar Act, 2006
An Act to regularise unauthorized developments in the City of Ulhasnagar and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. WHEREAS there has been unauthorized developments in the City of Ulhasnagar on the large scale; AND WHEREAS such unauthorized developments were liable to be removed and pulled down; AND WHEREAS by removal and pulling down of such unauthorized developments hardship to a large number of people was likely to be caused; AND WHEREAS it was expedient to have a law to provide for regularisation of certain unauthorised developments in the City of Ulhasnagar and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto; AND WHEREAS both Houses of the State Legislature were not in session; AND WHEREAS the Governor of Maharashtra was satisfied that circumstances existed which rendered it necessary for him to take immediate action to make a law, for the purposes hereinafter appearing; and, therefore, promulgated the Regularisation of Unauthorised Developments in the City o
Maharashtra Non-biodegradable Garbage (Control) Act, 2006
An Act to prevent throwing or depositing non-biodegradable garbage in public drains, roads, wetland, wasteland, water bodies, places open. to public view; to regulate the use of non-biodegradable material and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. WHEREAS both- Houses of the State Legislature were not in session; AND WHEREAS the Governor of Maharashtra was satisfied that circumstances existed which rendered it, necessary for him to take immediate action to make a law to prevent throwing or depositing non-biodegradable garbage in public drains, roads, wetland, wasteland, water bodies, places open to public view; to regulate the use of non-biodegradable material and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto; and, therefore, promulgated the Maharashtra Non-biodegradable Garbage (Control) Ordinance, 2006, on the 27th February 2006; AND WHEREAS it is expedient to replace the said Ordinance by an Act of the State Legislature; it is hereby enacted in the Fifty-seve



Rules
Company Law Board (Amendment) Regulations, 2008
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4B) and sub-section (6) of Section 10E of the Companies Act, 1956 ( 1 of 1956), the Company Law Board hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Company Law Board Regulations, 1991, namely:-
Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 2007
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951) and in supersession of the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 1954, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government after consultation with the Governments of the States concerned, hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
Indian Forest Service (Pay) Rules, 2007
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951) and in supersession of the Indian Forest Service (Pay) Rules, 1968 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government after consultation with the Governments of the States concerned, hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
Director, National Civil Defence College, Nagpur (Group- "A") Recruitment Rules, 2006
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, and in supersession of the Director, Central Emergency Relief Training Institute, Recruitment Rules, 1968, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the President hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Director, National Civil Defence College, Nagpur, namely:-
Maharashtra Value Added Tax (Second Amendment) Rules, 2007
Whereas the Government of Maharashtra is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action further to amend the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Rules, 2005 and to dispense with the condition of previous publication thereof under the proviso to sub-section (4) of section 83 of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002 (Mah. IX of 2005); Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) read with the proviso to sub-section (4) of section 83 of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002 and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby, makes the following rules further to amend the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Rules, 2005, namely:-
Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (Salaries and Allowances and Conditions of Service of Chairman, Vice-Chairmen and Members) Amendment Rules, 2007.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1), read with clause (c) of sub-section (2) of Section 35 and Section 36A, of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 (13 of 1985), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal ( Salaries and Allowances and Conditions of Service of Chairman, Vice-Chairmen and Members) Rules, 1986, namely :-
Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) Course and Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) Course Rules, 2007
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 14 of the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1984 (Karnataka Act 37 of 1984), the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable Services) Interconnection (Fourth Amendment) Regulation, 2007
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36, and by sub-clauses (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) of clause (b) of sub-section (1) and sub-section (2) of section 11 of the Telecom Regulator) Authority of India Act. 1997 (24 of 1997). read with notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Department of Telecommunication) No.39,- (a) issued, in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Central Government under clause (d) of sub-section (1) of section 11 and proviso to clause (k) of sub section (1) of section 2 of the said Act, and (b) published raider notification No. S.O.44 (E) and 45 (E) dated the 9th January, 2004 in the Gazette of India. Extraordinary, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India hereby makes the following regulation further to amend the Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable Services) Interconnection Regulation, 2004 (13 of 2004) namely:-
